Mitratech’s marketing team recently had the pleasure of discussing legal matter management with Jarisse Sanborn and Mike Gadson, the General Counsel and Law Office Manager for the American Bar Association. We all know about the tremendous work that the ABA does to provide the legal community with benefits, services, and programs that promote development and advance the rule of law, but this interview provided us with unique insight into the challenges that ABA’s legal department faces within the organization. The ABA uses Mitratech’s Lawtrac matter management and e-Billing system to manage over 6,500 contracts each year with a relatively small staff. In order to streamline this process they have implemented Lawtrac’s Self-Service Portal, which allows strategic business partners to submit and see the status of contract work without sending e-mails or making phone calls directly to the legal staff.
