As we reach the close of the first quarter of 2013, I am excited to have the opportunity to update you for the first time as Mitratech’s CEO. I feel incredibly fortunate to take the reins of this business when it is in such a strong position and after so much great work has been done to build on the company’s long history of success. In 2013, we will continue the work we began last year to solidify a high-performing organization that consistently, predictably and undeniably delivers tremendous value for you, our clients. We will continue our increased levels of product investment, ensuring that we deliver the software capabilities and quality that make a difference to you in your business. We couldn’t be more excited about the community of clients, employees and partners we have as we build upon the progress we made in 2012 and deliver on our vision for 2013 and beyond.

We entered 2012 with ambitious goals for Mitratech, and I am pleased to report that we not only achieved those goals, but in many cases exceeded them. 2012 was a year of very strong financial performance and also a year where we laid a strong foundation for growth going forward. We invested in the business and grew our staff levels by more than 50% since January of 2012, allowing us to better support our clients’ needs and dramatically increase our support satisfaction ratings. And we’ve doubled our product team over the same period, allowing us to accelerate development that our clients have been asking to see for years. Additions to our staff are always beneficial, but can be challenging as well, so we’ve invested in new training and employee development programs to increase everyone’s chances of success and opportunity and to ensure that we have the strongest group of employees to partner with our clients for the long term.
To further develop that partnership, we are working this year to bring you several new programs. We have just launched our Client Reward Program, allowing us to formally recognize our clients for all they do for us. In addition, we’ll be expanding the industry and user groups we launched last year. We will formally announce those program expansions later this spring. We’re also increasing our involvement in the Enterprise Legal Management conversation through the launch of our company blog this month. Experts from around the Mitratech organization will use this platform to share their perspective on our market and the news and trends that impact you. We’re always looking for new ways to improve our relationship with our clients, so expect to hear from us throughout the year as we roll out additional programs.
At last year’s Interact conference, I had my first opportunity to hear from our clients about what they valued from Mitratech and where we needed to do better. Since that time, I’ve worked closely with many of you to help Mitratech be the invaluable partner that you deserve. As CEO, I will continue to work with that same clear goal in mind.
