Prerequisites:
  • Previous System Administration training;
  • Experience with HTML and XML;
  • Familiarity with the structure of objects and their attributes in TeamConnect’s Object Model, and an understanding of how these objects and attributes correspond to items in the user interface;
  • Familiarity with the differences between system fields, custom fields, sub-objects, and related objects;
  • A thorough understanding of your organization’s business logic and processes.

Day 1 - Document Generator Basics

  • Document Template example
  • Create a simple Document Template
  • Write and format the Document Content
  • Understand Placeholders
  • Document Template Tags
  • Use the different Document Template Tags

Day 2 - Document Template Process Outline

  • Learn how to nest to navigate
  • Locate Object Attribute Names in the Object Model
  • Define filter screens
  • Define screens for user input
  • Prepare RFT files •Convert Document Template to XML
  • Upload and test the Document Template

Day 3 - Workshop

  • Workshop Exercises
  • Retrieve Data from Related Objects
  • Use Qualifiers to filter Sub-Objects
  • Compare Custom Fields
  • Compare Sub-Objects
  • Test if an existing Claim exists
  • Retrieve data from user-selected involved contact of the opened Claim
